Civil Air Patrol serves as the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force. We carry out our three primary missions: Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and Cadet Programs using an entirely volunteer force. Civil Air Patrol membership is open to youth and adults.
Youth must be 12 years old and attending the sixth grade and not older than 19. CAP cadets experience aviation in a way few other youth do. As a CAP cadet you will fly in airplanes, soar in gliders, learn to lead, wear the Air Force uniform with pride, and learn to rescue missing persons and locate lost aircraft.
Adults members must be at least 18 years old and must have a passion for service. CAP senior members serve in many different ways. CAP needs pilots, youth leaders, aircrew members, administrative expertise, and public affairs minded people.
Cadets meet each Monday evening from 1830-2030 hours (6:30pm – 8:30pm) and youth interested in learning more are always welcome to come visit! Please fill out the information form on our “Becoming a CAP cadet” page to let staff know you’re coming!
Senior members meet the first and third Thursdays of the month. Prospective adult members should contact Major Roxanne Munns for more information.
Meetings generally occur at the squadron’s headquarters located at 2906 Fanta Reed Road, La Crosse which is on the east side of the La Crosse Regional Airport.
