On March 13 thru the 15th there is a Group Search and Rescue Exercise at ATW(Outagamie Airport). The IC is Jeff Thompson and he always makes the training exercises interesting and fun while we brush up on our Mission Scanner, Mission Observer, and Mission Pilot skills. If you are a trainee, or mission qualified, please be available on Sat. or Sun. for a mission or two. We need the training to keep people qualified and need the hours on the aircraft. Let me repeat, we need the hours on the aircraft! On March 20 thru 22 there is Mission Base Staff/ Communications training and training for ES rating renewals at Volk field. Training is Sat. and Sun. but you can go over late Friday afternoon or evening and stay at the “Volk Ritz Motel” for free, go over to the Target Bluff for supper if you want and be ready for the Continental breakfast on Sat. morning. This is another chance to get renewals on qualifications or get training for a qualification. More info will be coming out on this from Jerry Krueger soon. This is a good time to do this as spring will be here soon and we all know how busy we are then.
