Good afternoon,
On Saturday, 4 November, we will host an Ground Team Field & Communications training exercise.

**This training is open to ALL members!**

Those members with Ground Team 3 (GTM3) trainee status and up will go into the field with Major Clark and Major Mandel.

Those with less than GTM3 trainee status will remain at HQ with Major Zimmerman to complete some prerequisites.

There will be a monthly Squadron prior to the training beginning at 1000 hours. All are welcome to attend.


ITINERARY for 4 November
1000-1100   Monthly Squadron Meeting
1100-1200   Sign In / lunch (pizza)   **Cadets need to bring a completed permission slip**
1200-1215   FTX / COMM EX Briefing / Safety Briefing
1215-1230   Load Vans / Depart Mission Base
1230-1300   Travel to Training Site 
1300-1630   Field Training 
1630-1700   Travel to Mission Base / Debriefing


FIELD TRAINING PLAN
Major Clark, Major Mandel will take members into the field to complete some advanced training tasks. Training will cover communications, survival, shelter construction, search line techniques, first aid, and search and rescue scenarios. 

WEATHER FORECAST (as of today): A 40 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 45. East wind around 8 mph. PO will continue to watch forecast for significant changes.

UOD: BDU/ABUs
*NOTE: You should dress to be outdoors for several hours. *Bring rain gear, hats, gloves. Layer your clothing. 

DRINKING WATER: Bring 2 canteens full of drinking water (and snacks, if needed).

BRING: Your 24-hour pack.

CLASSROOM TRAINING PLAN
Major Zimmerman will work with Senior and Cadet Members with no Ground Team training in at Mission Base. Training will include prerequisites, such as GES, and GTM3 Fam and Prep tasks, etc.
