Check out -- http://www.ecprcertification.com/ This course follows the most recent American Heart Association Guidelines and standards of Red Cross and OSHA. Certification is good for 2 years. This online course takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. It does have an online exam that you must take for certification. The cost is about $22 for a basic first aid certificate and wallet card. NOTE: They also offer a CPR course at an additional cost, and there is a combined FA/CPR course that will save you few dollars if you take them together. While there, the founder and owner, Dr. Steve Czys will share information on making healthier life choices and to challenge us with one of his workouts. Eupraxia is different than the traditional health club, gym or fitness center, in that every workout is an instructor led, group fitness experience. Your coach and teammates are always right there to help you stay motivated and to push you to reach your goals. The different workouts include; plyometrics, kettlebells, circuit training, upper body strength, lower body strength, honey badger, tabata, and kickboxing. Please come in workout attire and bring water. Also, bring a set of shoes aside from your street shoes to change into for the workout. Eupraxia is located at 1919 Ward Ave in La Crosse. Times are: meet 18:30(6:30pm) , start 18:45 (6:45pm), approximately finish 20:00 (8:00pm). Please have cadets picked up no later than 20:15 (8:15pm). After training on Monday night I had a few people asked about Ground Team (GT) training. If you are a new member (or if you've been with us for a while and now have an interest in a Ground Team qualification). There are several online trainings that you can complete at home to get you started. First things first -- eServices is an important tool for you! Make sure you can access eServices and find your way around in it. To get started -- 1. Register in eServices by going to https://www.capnhq.gov/. ? ? - Enter your CAPID and active email address. ? ? - You will receive an email. Proceed from there to create a password. ? ? - Remember your CAPID and password. 2. Complete - General Emergency Services CAPT 116 part 1 (GES) online. * Please note that the completion of GES is a prerequisite for all Ground Team training. ? ? This open book, untimed test based on two Regs -- CAPR 60-3 and CAPR 173-3. You ? ? can open both of these Regs in new windows so that you can refer to them while taking the test. ? ? ? ? How to find the test -- ? ? - In eServices opening screen, use the LEFT Menu? -? scroll down and click on "Learning ? ? ? Management System" ? ? - Scroll down to "Emergency Services" ? ? - The first link is CAPT 116 part 1 (GES). Click on this link to open the exam. 3. Complete - Introductory Communications User Training (ICUT). Note: there is an online portion and a hands-on portion for this course. ? ? Complete - online Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) courses. There are 4 online tests you can complete.
