This school at the end of January is a great chance to work on qualifications in mission management or radio communications. It is open to cadets and seniors.
Please note that you need to have pre-qualifications done before attending, depending on what training you are pursuing. Contact Maj Zimmerman or myself for help in identifying what pre-requisites you need and how we can help you get them done.
Wisconsin Wing will hold our annual Mission Base Staff & Communications Academy on 27 – 29 January 2017 at Volk Field ANGB, Camp Douglas (just 15 miles east of Tomah). Cost for this training is $50 per person. This price includes course materials, meals (breakfasts, lunches, and Saturday evening dinner) and billeting at Volk Field ANGB for Friday night and Saturday night. This is an Air Force Assigned training mission, so reimbursement will be available for Wisconsin Wing members ONLY.
Three separate training activities will be offered this year. These is open to both senior members and cadets. Members from other wings are also welcome.
- Communications Track (POC: Capt Dan Turkal, email@example.com )
- Mission Base Staff Track (POC: Lt Col Jerry Krueger, firstname.lastname@example.org)
- Aerial Photographer Track (POC: Maj Tim Dixon, email@example.com)
Only one training track may be selected. All participants MUST have a current General ES rating or higher and students MUST have completed all prerequisites for the rating that they are training in. Members who need to renew ratings may attend as well. Because of the “hands-on” nature of the courses, participation is limited and on a “first come, first serve” basis.
Additional information is available at the WIWG website. Any questions, contact the POC for the appropriate training track listed above.
