Are you a youth looking to fly? Maybe you’re an adult seeking a chance to give back to your community? Perhaps you’re a teenager who wants to learn more about a potential career in the military? Whatever your reasons, the Civil Air Patrol is a great place to grow, learn, have fun, and make a difference.
There are two main membership types: Cadet and Senior Member.
Cadet membership: You must be 12 years old and have started the sixth grade and be no older than 18. We meet on Saturday morning from 0900-1130 hours at our facility at the La Crosse Regional Airport (2906 Fanta Reed Road). Potential members must attend three meetings before they may submit membership paperwork. The fee to join is $90 and that includes your initial books, uniforms, and individualized supplies (nametapes, nameplates, etc…).
Senior membership: You must be 18 years or older and be able to pass an FBI background screening. Senior members meet the first Saturday of each month 0900-1030.hours at our squadron facility. However, interested seniors can stop by any Saturday morning or most Thursday evenings to get more information. Membership is $64.
